well I just got home from a nice dinner at one of the better restaurants in our town and then we went to see the movie American Sniper for my mothers' birthday gifts. and I gotta say, it was a really good movie compared to what I thought it'd be like.

I'll be honest, I thought the movie was going to be like the movie 'the Hurt Locker' but it really wasn't. except for the parts that were the same. it really did give you a sense of patriotism and feeling like you knew what the soldiers sacrifice. even if it's a movie. and as for the ending (I'm not trying to spoil it) all I can say is that I didn't see that ending coming. all in all it was a pretty good movie that I expected a little less of. I recommend it for those looking for a good movie to watch with friends or family. go see it.

well with the holiday almost over I think it's time for a little journal. all things considered today wasn't so bad, did the usual unwrapping of gifts and my mom was miserable the whole time because of her mother passing away last summer. see we normally went to her house after we finished our gifts and it usually was just one of those things that couldn't get over quick enough. though without her being around we stayed home and had a few relatives over and had a big dinner. it didn't go to badly all things considered but we all still miss Grandma.

didn't help that also last summer we lost our dog Samantha and she loved christmas time. but my other dog Misty loved her gifts just as much as she would've if Sammy was still around. she just didn't have to share.

in the end I hope that you all had a good Christmas for those that celebrate it and for those that don't or celebrate other holidays I wish that you have pleasant ones as well.

this is just amazing at what intuition and the love towards animals can accomplish. who knows, maybe someday this will become mainstream for handicapped animals so they can still be cared for instead of being locked in a cage or being put down.
